Supporting our Armed Forces and their families
We recognise the immense contribution of the UK’s armed forces, particularly the local servicemen and women of the 36 Engineer Regiment based in Maidstone. As a gesture of support, we’ve donated leisure passes to Mote Park Leisure Centre, helping military families enjoy valuable downtime together in a safe and welcoming environment.
Armed Forces continues through our sponsorship of the Armed Forces Para Snowsport Team for the 2025–2026 Winter Season. This initiative not only supports rehabilitation through sport but also champions resilience, recovery, and achievement.
RecMat, as part of the Fry Group, are proud signatories of the Armed Forces Covenant. This reaffirms the dedication of the company to ensure that those who serve, or have served, in the armed forces – along with their families – are treated with fairness and respect in our community and workplace.
Supporting the local community
As a business embedded in the heart of Kent, RecMat are passionate about uplifting our neighbours. Our collaboration with the Heart of Kent Hospice reflects this commitment. Through our partner FRY Site Services, we provided groundworks and installed a new pathway, allowing staff and volunteers safe access to garden composters — a small but meaningful improvement to their daily operations.
We are also keen supporters of youth football, sponsoring three local teams this season – Vinters Valley U8’s (pictured), Lordswoods and Riverview. Using sport to stay fit, build friendships and learn team skills all helps the future generation to grow into a strong and healthy community together.
RecMat is engaged in an ongoing partnership with ellenor’s hospice in Gravesend, offering both financial and practical support to this worthy organisation. In support of their current Challenge40 campaign this means not only sponsoring the event but also delivering operational assistance along with our sister company FRY Site Services.
